Veeru Shan is a percussionist from Karachi, Pakistan who has studied eastern classical Tabla from the National Academy  of Performing Arts (NAPA). In 2015, she was awarded a musical scholarship to study Korean traditional percussion in Seoul, South Korea. Continuing with her passion for music, she went to the Butler School of Music at UT Austin, TX on a scholarship where she enhanced her skills and knowledge in world percussion.

Veeru has collaborated with immense groups of artists locally and around the globe. Sharing her talent, she was part of the Pakistani musical series called the Nescafe Basement and Pepsi Battle of the Bands. Veeru is also a key member of a fusion ensemble named “Sangat” which is a collaboration between the artists from Pakistan and from the US. She is the first female instrumentalist/percussionist in the house band of Coke Studio season 12.

One of her goals is to engage with people and share her diverse musical knowledge, make music accessible and inspire them by sharing her musical Journey.
